Antique Car Appraisal
Ragtop Appraisals works by appointment and travels to where the vehicle is garaged. A thorough inspection is made of the exterior, interior, engine and engine compartment, chassis and trunk. Photos are taken of each area, and notes are recorded of what has been observed. When possible receipts and owners information will be reviewed in order to better understand the condition of the vehicle.
Appraisal Report
From the time of inspection till the antique car appraisal report is delivered will typically take 2 weeks. Certain vehicles may require additional time as well as rush services are available. Your report consists of pictures of all of the inspected areas of your vehicle along with a narrative. Each area of the vehicle is conditioned rated on a 1 to 5 scale with 1 being a concourse vehicle and 5, a vehicle suitable for parting out or an extreme restoration. An overall final rating is then assigned to the vehicle and a market value is assigned. Two copies of the report are produced and mailed to the owner.

Pre-purchase Appraisal
Pre-purchase appraisals can be provided when purchasing a vehicle long distance. A typical pre-purchase includes the written appraisal report and a phone call while inspecting the vehicle with instant pictures provided. Typically a ride will be conducted when permitted. Driving the vehicle will only be conducted when an agreement is approved by both the buyer and seller and the car is deemed to be safe along with weather conditions.

Ragtop Appraisals was established in 2007 and is part of I-Van the International Vehicle Appraisal Network. I-Van is a nationwide service and resource that can be used when evaluating your vehicle. Brian Borger Chief Appraiser of Ragtop Appraisals has been a collector of vehicles for over 35 years. A graduate of the I-Van Appraisers school and certified AACA Judge. Mr. Borger has also been involved in many local car shows and events.
